I have recently been given a defect by e bay for issuing a refund. I sold an item and then found a small tear in the seamwhen preparing for dispatch. I immediately messaged the buyer and apologised for my oversight and asked if they would like a full refund.
It took a while for the buyer to reply so in the meantime I issued the refund and sent another message to say I had done so with another apology.
The buyer was very understanding and did not open a case against me so why have I received this defect?
