Return postage and seller refunds

I made purchases for some clothing items but when I received, the items were not as listing stated. So I called the seller this morning.

Seller said to send back and send it second class. I pointed out that generally ebay ask buyer to send back recorded. Seller said they would only refund second class and not reordered if I pay for that. I did point out consumer laws but seller said, it’s there policy. So what do others think of this?

No much point ebay making buyers return RD when sellers refuse to refund it. Seller said proof of posting is enough for them and they will refund. I have not opened a case, as I don’t like doing that until I tried to contact seller.

Should I just send it back second class? Seller is a business seller btw.
